About this series

The ESA Show is produced by ESA Registry UK to share personal experiences, practical information and responsible discussion about Emotional Support Animals.

Personal experiences are presented in each guest's own words and should not be treated as individual medical or legal advice. Where an ESA handler meets the definition of disability under Section 6 of the Equality Act 2010, they are protected from disability discrimination under the Equality Act 2010. Where an Emotional Support Animal is required as a medical aid because of the person's disability, a request involving the animal should be considered individually and should not automatically be treated as an ordinary pet-related matter. The appropriate reasonable adjustment depends on the person's circumstances, supporting evidence, the setting and applicable law.
